There are several emerging and accelerating trends that impact the global insurance industry, such as climate change and digital innovation. Supervisors should have the tools to examine these trends and their potential impact on supervisory objectives like policyholder protection and financial stability. The IAIS is supporting insurance supervisors by providing a platform for information exchange and developing guidance on good supervisory practice.
