Gita Salden

Executive Board Member of Supervision, De Nederlandsche Bank

Before joining the Executive Board of De Nederlandsche Bank where she is responsible for insurance and pension funds supervision, Gita Salden was CEO of BNG Bank (2018-2024). Prior to this, Gita was Deputy Treasurer-General and Director of Financial Markets at the Dutch Ministry of Finance (2012- 2017). During this time she chaired the Dutch Money Wise platform, in which partners pool their strengths to promote responsible financial behaviour in the Netherlands.

Earlier (2010-2011) Gita Salden worked as Financial Counsellor to the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the European Union in Brussels. From 1992 to 2011, Gita worked at the Ministry of Finance in various management positions. In the period 2007-2010, she led crisis management teams during a period of major interventions in the Dutch financial sector.

Gita Salden graduated in General Economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam in 1992. She was born in Dordrecht on 6 August 1968.
