The Strategic Plan sets the strategic direction for the Association over the 2025-2029 period in support of its mission.
It articulates the core objectives of the IAIS, identifies a set of strategic themes and sets out the operational priorities.
Together, these elements will shape the IAIS’ activities over the five years 2025-2029. Under the Strategic Plan, the IAIS will deliver support for its members across the full range of supervisory mandates, including financial stability, policyholder protection, fair treatment of customers, financial inclusion and market development.
The Strategic Plan also guides and sets priorities for the IAIS’ annual work programme, known as the Roadmap. The Roadmap prioritises IAIS projects and activities over a two-year period but undergoes annual adaptations to align with newly identified risks and trends.
The 2024 Roadmap can be found at the bottom of this page, and the 2025-2026 Roadmap will be published in January 2025.

The 2025-2029 Strategic Plan builds on the achievements of the previous five-year period. Looking ahead, the IAIS will place a greater emphasis on implementation of our standards and on the themes of climate change, digital innovation and societal resilience.
